kids and vitamin D; even the New York Times is being brainwashed.

for our first installment in a series we’re going to call “are you f*%&$*g kidding me? is this s*$t for real?”, a new New York Times article states:

“The country’s leading group of pediatricians is recommending that children receive double the usually suggested amount of vitamin D because of evidence that it might help prevent serious diseases.”

DOUBLE. do you know what that means? that CHILDREN have to take supplements. and not just children: “That includes breast-fed infants — even those who get some formula.”

“The Institute of Medicine, a government advisory group that sets dietary standards, is discussing with federal agencies whether the recommendations should be changed based on the new research, said a spokeswoman, Christine Stencel.”

PEOPLE. the reason children are deficient is because they DON’T SPEND ENOUGH TIME OUTSIDE. the sun is GOOD for you. fortified or not, milk is NOT necessary. all it takes is at least 20 minutes (the darker your skin, the more time you need) midday and a healthy diet to get the vitamin D you need. that’s it. supplements are NOT the answer.

it’s ridiculous that we’re not even questioning this stuff anymore. shame on us.
